So, I had the chance to play with the OPPO Reno 2 for nearly a month and I brought it out of Singapore and headed to Bangkok with the phone!
First look & impression:
When I received the phone, I was mesmerized by the color of the phone, which was known as the ‘Sunset Pink’ and it is by far the nicest color I’ve seen on any OPPO phones.

Looking at the OPPO Reno 2, the phone comes in a full 6.5 inches AMOLED ‘Corning® Gorilla Glass® 6’ screen. Yes you’re reading it right, no notch at all! The 16MP front camera actually pops up from the top, but instead of the usual straight pop up camera, it actually swivels up 11 degrees from the top right of the phone!
The fingerprint reader is actually concealed under the screen and it’s actually accurate! Once you get the hang of it you’ll unlock the phone in no time.

Turning the OPPO Reno 2 to its back, the first thing you’ll notice is the 48MP Quad Camera setup that the phone comes with.
The OPPO Reno 2 comes with 4000 mAh Battery and is VOOC Flash Charge: 3.0 enabled, which means charging the phone from 1% to 50% will take less than 30 minutes!
The OPPO Reno 2 utilizing the gaming optimized Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G, providing 15% faster GPU rendering than the Snapdragon 730. So I decided to download Call Of Duty Mobile and brought it up to the highest setting available and i was surprised at how well and smooth the gameplay was!
Using it on an everyday basis in Bangkok, I actually utilized the camera more than I actually thought I would. Take a look at the pictures below.

As everyone knows, OPPO Reno 2’s main selling point is actually their 48MP quad camera and their photography technology, so functions such as the 20x zoom, ‘Wide angle’ mode, ‘Ultra Dark’ mode, Portrait mode 2.0 and the pop-up selfie camera with bokeh effect video are all available in the phone, but OPPO is actually offering something better in their video mode, which is called the ‘Ultra Steady’ video mode!
When that function is on, magic actually happens! The ‘Ultra Steady’ function actually acts like a gimbal with the help of the OIS and EIS in the camera lens and removes all unintended shakes or vibrations and smoothens out any quick actions when you pan with your subject!
Overall, OPPO Reno 2 really deserve the compliments!
Thank you OPPO for the Reno 2 experience!
