Today, I’ll be taking out my trusty Xiaomi Mi 6 Ceramic Verson, which was launched in April 2017 and putting it to the test to see if it still has a fight in our current 2020 tech.

Although the Snapdragon 835 is 3 generations before the Snapdragon 865, it still performs amazing for its age! Benching a score of 273661 on AnTuTu(V8.2.2), it beats the latest XiaoMi Mi Note 10 that utilizes the Snapdragon 730G!
Playing games like Mobile Legends and Call of Duty Mobile is smooth even when on the highest available settings! Not only that, I actually play 2 Pokémon GO simultaneously on the Xiaomi Mi 6 by using the ‘Dual App’ function that comes with all Xiaomi phones and yet there is still no lag even when it goes into heavy graphic moments in the game.

The Xiaomi Mi 6’s wide-angle camera uses a 12MP Sony IMX386 sensor with 4-axis OIS while the telephoto camera uses another 12MP with 2x zoom. The dual 12 MP Camera is actually good enough for everyday usage. Photos taken on the Xiaomi Mi 6 are actually sharp, Colors are vibrant, portrait mode actually has good bokeh (blur background).

Conclusion? If you’re a processor biased android user and camera is not a priority to you, and yet not willing to splurge on the latest upcoming Snapdragon 865? Go for the Xiaomi Mi 6!
I’ve been holding on my Mi6 Ceramic Version ever since its launched in China in 2017, and to date, it still performs up to expectations.
